Book - A Dream Fulfilled - by Brian Bucknall

An auto-biography of one man's quest for speed and competition. Brian Bucknall was born in Edinburgh but spent most of his formative years in Cheshire. After leaving school he spent a short time in the Royal Navy before taking up an apprenticeship, with what was then the G.P.O., in S.Wales. Married at twenty one, it took another three years to start to realise a dream that had lasted almost all his life. This book is the story of that dream. He started competing in the family car, a Saab 96, but soon graduated to more specialist machinery. He then went on to try his hand at various forms of racing, including hovercraft and boats, having many exciting times along the way. This is a story about an ordinary bloke who was able to get the thrill of motor sport without the need for vast sums of money. His passion was all consuming and represents the club racer at his best. It could have been you!
