Salix caprea ‘Kilmarnock’, also known as Kilmarnock willow, is a stiffly pendulous or weeping small tree. Typically top-grafted, it reaches a height of 2.5 to 3 meters. The branches are yellowish, and the leaves are ovate. In late winter, it bears large grey catkins with yellow anthers, which open before the leaves emerge. Other common names include Kilmarnock weeping willow and weeping great willow. This ornamental tree is an excellent choice for smaller gardens due to its compact form. It thrives in moist but well-drained soil and can be grown in full sun. The Kilmarnock willow’s striking appearance, from its foliage to its catkins, adds beauty to any landscape
