MrMellon presents this wonderful antique porcelain mug. It was handpainted by an Elk or for an Elk, likely in 1910's or 1920's. The painting is a copy of a 1907 photograph entitled "Oh How I Love An Elk". I imagine that the photograph would have hung in many Elk's lodges around the country, and that somebody was inspired to create this wonderful piece of art.

Condition:  Excellent condition with no signs of damage. There is some wear to the gold trim on the handle. Any bright white spots that you see may be studio light glare.
Age:  Circa early 20th c.
Markings:  Neither the paining, nor the porcelain are signed.
Country of Origin:  The porcelain is likely French or American. The painting would have been done here in the USA.
