Hard-to-Find “Social Comedy” by Life Publishing.  Published in 1906, 4^th Edition.  Unpaginated (roughly 100+ Pages), Measures 9 ½” by 11 ¾”.

This Compilation of Social Humor with its wonderful Caricatures and Cartoons is amazing not only as it reflects the norms and attitudes of Society at the turn of the 19^th century, but for its collection of popular Illustrators during this period.

Some of the leading Illustrators represented are Charles Dana Gibson, Howard Chandler Christy, Harrison Fisher, Oliver Herford, Henry Hutt, Bayard Jones, TK Hanna Jr., Charles Allan Gilbert, WH Hyde, William L Jacobs, Gray-Parker, Athur E. Jameson in addition to many more.

The Book is in good condition.  The Binding has broken open at the Title Page and there is one Page has pulled away towards the middle. Also, soiling along the Page edges though the Pages themselves are quite clean.

Green Cloth Boards show wear and soiling, but still views reasonably well with minor wear to the gilding along the front and spine.
