This handsome antique round or cylindrical treenware box with a cover, likely used for storing tobacco or spices. It has a slight aroma of pipe tobacco. It was likely manufactured between 1850-1899, possibly as late as the early 1900s. The lid is good and tight and it is still quite usable. It has a rich mahogany stain and is a great addition to any den, library or office. What a wonderful piece.

It measures 4.75” h x 3” outside diameter

Condition: there are a few cracks and some of the veneer has loosened although still holding strong. Paint rubs on bottom.
