1769 WELSH
Holy BIBLE Famed Baskett Wales James Phillips Jenkin Griffiths Family
A rare Welsh Holy Bible! Baskett Bibles are
considered some of the most desirable 18th-century Bibles. In fact,
the Baskett Bible became the first English Bible to see print in America in
1761 (see Darlow/Moule 1136). This 1769 Welsh edition, like other Baskett
Bibles, includes both the Old and New Testaments. This particular example was
published in London published by Mark and Robert Baskett.
