Antique Victorian c.1850 Miniature Portrait In Engine Turned/ Engraved Locket

Excellent quality hand painted portrait of a gentleman. Comes within a large sized oval locket with a fine crimped outer edge border, an engine turned surface design, and a central hand engraved etching with a personal monogram. Flat glass panel with a low, surrounding bevelled edge covers the portrait.

Condition: Used - The locket has some fine surface marks; tarnish spots, surface scratches, & a small dint. A little fading of gilt around the edges. A few very fine surface marks on the glass panel, & fine amounts of residue behind it covering the miniature.
