Looks like 3 different layers of patterns with gold coloring . (water waves, smooth & Beads)..  No glass for safety and to reduce weight. The finish of this frame is as it was when stored, I can not say exactly what was done to it's finish before I inherited it.  Questions PLEASE email.  Happy to combine shipping
