Description - Delightful early 19th century George III solid silver snuff box of rectangular curved form with hinged lid and thumb piece

all sides embellished with wiggle work decoration, the lid has a cartouche with the engraved initials "JS"

interior has a much later inscription dated 1961

rich silver-gilt (gold washed) interior.

Fully hallmarked with anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid silver, King's head, date letter "i" for the year 1806 and the maker's mark "JW" which is Joseph Willmore.

Condition - There is a small fracture to the front top corner and a tiny pin hole to the rear left corner with a ding (please inspect end photograph) and there are some dints

hinge tight and closes the lid securely, engraved wiggle work pattern in good order and the interior silver-gilt is rich and bright with no loss.
