- A postally used Postmarked Newquay Cornwall 20th September 1917 Pre 1914 Real Photographic postcard published by W.H Smith as part of the Kingsway Real Photo Series & entitled ' Wesleyan Church Newquay
- S12242 ' & showing an exterior view of the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in the Cornish North coast coastal town of Newquay. We understand the chapel was originally built / opened in 1904 & is situated in East Street. Postcard is in good overall condition with a small amount of corner / edge wear along with a couple of other small light marks etc as one might expect ( small spot to the right of the tower ) as well as a light postmark indentation in the top left hand corner, while the reverse is a little ' Grubby ' with some small light ' Foxing ' stains / marks. Even so this does not detract from what is still a First class & interesting Edwardian / Pre 1914 Cornish Methodist postcard with possible Newquay Social History interest ? see scans & also a similar ' interior ' postcard of Newquay Wesley we are also selling at the moment. The postcard comes from a small collection of Methodist Chapel postcards we are selling over the next few weeks on eBay that relate mainly to Cornwall & West Devon.
