These cute bird napkin rings in a vintage retro style. They are by Ballard Designs and sold out.

The color is the brownish black of cast iron. The rings are not cast iron, but are strong and sturdy, ie not bendable by ordinary means!

They are in overall great condition, but do have flaws as shown in photos, which IMHO adds to the vintage look.
