A very beautiful large french cubist oil on canvas depicting a man staring into a hall of mirrors. Delfau painted scene sets and costumes for the Opera in Paris and also worked in India, Burma and Japan. This beautiful example is in original condition and needs some restoration.

André Delfau specialised in painting dance and the theatre and also produced a number of stage sets and costumes for the Opéra in Paris and the Théâtre de l'Odéon. He also worked in Morocco, India, Burma and Japan.
His dancing, acrobatic, cavorting Harlequins are developed in arabesque movements.
