Vintage Blue Angel Standing on Penny Stained Glass SUN CATCHER 2.5" x 2.675"

The base it stands on is a 1977 penny. Has an earing backing on a rod in it's hand that can be removed, I have no idea what it's for, maybe it's supposed to hold something?
