** AN ORIGINAL 1970's VINTAGE HI-FI SYSTEM **

** Collection only from central Brighton **

(very heavy - requires a van and two men)

Consists of the following component items -

- Thorens TD 124 Mk II turntable

- SME 3012 Series 2 arm

- Shure cartridge

- Quad 33 pre-amp

- Quad 303 power amp

- Quad FM II Tuner

- Pair of large floorstanding electrostatic speakers - now believed to be 1970's Shackman Dynastat AS7's (Thank you for the help with identification!)

- 1960's LARGS custom-made cabinet to house the above components

** Please note -

The Thorens turntable and SME arm are both in very good condition, move freely and silently, and operate very well.

However, although one channel is working fine, and sounds very good, the other channel is distorting on both phono and FM tuner audio inputs, and thus requires a service. I do not know if this is down to the pre-amp, the power amp, or the speakers. So please bear this in mind, as items are sold as needing attention.

The speakers are Shackman Dynastat AS7's. They are mains-powered, and appear to include an electrostatic high-frequency design.

The LARGS cabinet is very large, heavy and sturdy. It is custom-made to house these specific components. It is generally in quite good condition, but the top surface has become scratched and faded over the decades, and could benefit from some cosmetic attention (see photo).

- Main cabinet dimensions - 94cm wide / 50cm deep / 97 cm high

- Speaker cabinet dimensions (each) - 38cm wide / 27cm deep / 84 cm high

** Please note that this item is strictly collection-only from central Brighton, and requires a van and two men to collect it, as it is bulky, and very heavy. **
