This vintage French wall pocket features a cicada design with white, green, and black colors, and green eyes. With olives painted on the back. Made of ceramic with a glossy finish, this piece measures 7 inches in length, 3 inches in width and 2 inches in depth. In the South of France, cicada wall pockets were given to new home owners as a wish of good luck and happiness.

The wall pocket/vase is original art pottery from Nyary ES, made in France in the mid-20th-century.

It is in excellent condition for its age. Two very tiny chips, one at the base of each wing. Touchup done at the bottom of the wings and the item looks great. See photo. This item looks beautiful on the wall. Item is sold as is.
