Antique Door Locks ... Rim Lock French circa mid 1800's, or earlier ... Set of TWO
Left: Rim Lock ... no key, no door knob. I attached the keeper to the lock. Lock is in excellent condition, original paint just shy of pristine. 9 3/4 inch w/keeper
Right: Rim Lock/Mortise, lets call it a hybrid. No key, excellent condition, interior back plate, and lever is present! Exterior is bolt action, interior is 1/4 turn to open. 9 inch
Patina removed before my ownership, a bit of surface rust. Polish with 000 steel wool if you desire.
Though French, these pieces were purchased in an gallery/flea market in Germany. Where they tell the tourist this, that and the other thing belonged to Napoleon, Henry IV, Philip III, or some other guy that died 300 years ago.
