Listing is for a discontinued/out-of-production Ford Fairlane Police Car from the 1960’s. It was made in England by Lesney and released as part of their Matchbox series as item number 55.

Although not exactly HO (1/87th) scale, it was pretty close. Since actual scale vehicles were not readily available back then, I used it on my HO model train layout.

It has a blue body with white panel doors. It has a silver grill, a white interior and a “cherry-top” emergency light. Decals on the hood and doors are in good condition as is the paint (but there are a few rubbed areas.)

It is approximately 2½” long.

Unfortunately, its original box has long since disappeared.

Item described as well as possible, but is sold "as is" so please contact me if you have any questions.

I will combine multiple items to reduce shipping whenever possible. If you win this item and win/purchase other item(s) I am selling, please request an invoice to receive any combined shipping discount. To request an invoice, add the items to your eBay cart and then request an invoice on the checkout page. I will reply with an invoice reflecting the combined shipping charge. Be aware that when you add items to your cart and request the invoice you will be committed to buying them.

Note:  some buyers have indicated eBay’s system will not allow them to request an invoice from me.  If you are unable to request an invoice, you will have to purchase the items and each item’s separate shipping cost.  However, I will refund any shipping overage.

Unless other arrangements are made, payment is to be made within two days after auction ends or invoice is sent.

Check out my other listings for more out-of-production or hard-to-find kits, especially Athearn "blue-box" kits. Athearn discontinued manufacturing them in 2009, so they are becoming scarce and hard to find. With Athearn’s purchase of Model Die Casting, Inc., the MDC/Roundhouse kits have also been discontinued and are no longer available.
