Before becoming Prime Minister of Canada, Lester B. Pearson
was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for organizing the first
UN peacekeeping force. In the decades since, UN peacekeepers

A first for Canada’s Peace Dollar
For the first time, the UHR portrait on the reverse of the Peace
Dollar has been plated. This is no small feat, given the
complexities and height of the sculpt, but the RCM engineers
succeeded in establishing a process for a reliably beautiful
execution.

The coin comes with a black Royal Canadian Mint-branded
clamshell with a black beauty box.
