1975 Press Photo Milwaukee Factory Makes Grinder For Minnesota Mining Operations
Fabricating the largest grinding mill ever to be used in North American mining history is no easy task for Richard Parker, left, a welder, and student Jack Goratowski, at the Rexnard, Incorporated, plant in Milwaukee. The 17-foot-diameter unit is one of four which must fit perfectly together when joined end-to-end during final assembly. When complete, the 41 1/2-foot mill will be used in operation at the Eveleth Expansion Company's iron ore concentrator in Fairland, Minnesota. Mill. Mining - Iron Ore (Minnesota) Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo Is dated 1975.
