This is a rechargeable IC card called ICOCA that can be used when riding Japanese railroads.
ICOCA can be used on many public transportation systems throughout Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

It is also useful not only for transportation, but also for shopping at convenience stores and supermarkets by simply holding it over the machine.

To: Overseas
Sent by Japan Post International Registered Mail (with tracking number).
It takes about 20 days to arrive.
It costs $10.

◼︎How to use ICOCA
It is charged with cash at the ticket vending machine at the station.
Hold it over the ticket gate to board the train.
When you get off the train, hold it over the ticket gate.

※If you are taking the Shinkansen, you will need a boarding ticket and an express ticket.
With an ic card, you can only pay for the boarding ticket.
Express tickets must be purchased separately at the station.
