The Hunter Company of Colorado has been famous for producing high quality "gun leather" (pistol holsters and cartridge belts) since 1952. This Vintage HUNTER 1100 COLT OFFICIAL POLICE COMMANDO 4" REVOLVER LEATHER PISTOL HOLSTER is in very good condition, with some patina to the snaps at the upper front, some verdigris around those snaps at the upper front, some scattered scratching, whitish spotting, and dark spot soiling throughout, some bending to the belt loop at the upper back, and with some overall age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the holster is in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the elegant dark reddish brown "russet" leather construction, which remains rigid and well formed. Most interestingly, it boasts a fully functional "HUNTER" logo marked brass "signature" snap closure leather top strap and upper front cross strap, sports a fully intact folded over and riveted "roughout" leather belt loop at the upper back, and is stamped at the middle reverse with its maker, their logo, and the model number, "HUNTER / 1100+11"; the model number denotes it's for a Colt Official Police or Commando .38 revolver with a 4" barrel.
