Vintage Sunbeam Radiant Control T-20A Toaster

This is the classic Sunbeam "Radiant Control" toaster. This was a high end toaster when it was introduced.
The toaster automatically lowers the bread into the slot and monitors the heat radiated off the bread. When toasted to the setting specified, the toaster automatically shuts off and raises the bread out. No levers to push, the bread gently creeps down and back up when done.
American-made quality you can no longer buy new.

The toaster is working. Two of the internal wire guards are missing. Cord is in good condition.

Condition: Chrome has a fair amount of scuffs, scratches and spots of dirt. No cracks or chips in bakelite base. The Sunbeam logo on the base has been repainted. There is food residue on the interior.
