The Projector
Here we have one of the best made and famous
of Cine names to have dominated the Cine world – Elmo. Anyone looking at this machine who knows
anything about cine will know this is a high pedigree projector to own. The
specifications, features and build quality makes it an ideal machine to project
all those special films in stereo or dual track.
This particular example is the GS-800, a high end machine Elmo made. It came
in various versions but this excellent example has the high output 100W lamp
fitted and is fitted with the f1.3 - 15-25mm
lens.
Built to last with solid Japanese engineering
and high quality parts. This projector was dominant in the 1980’s because of
its quality and reputation. Its die cast body makes for a very professional and
well-made machine. And the sleek styling holds up even today as a well
thought-out piece of media equipment for the semi-pro and amateur cine
enthusiast.
Elmo put a great deal of thought into the
electronics of this superior machine. Magnetic reproduction is where this projector is
very good. Stable and clear sound. Mono, Duo and Stereo are all catered for
here. High Quality Dynamic Sound range and wide frequency response make for
excellent fidelity for a projector. The
high frequency output these machines could re-produce is amazing with 75Hz-12,000 KHz at
24fps and 10,000 KHz at 18fps. This greatly enhances your
listening pleasure. With the high power external speak output also assists in
that big cinema feel!

history of this particular projector
This fine example came to us from a ONE
OWNER ONLY household. Not a hobbyist, as they tend to use their machine a great
deal and run up high mileage! The person that owned this GS-800 only wanted a high end quality machine
for the very occasional screening of their sound home movies. We could see
straight away that this machine was special. It's in MINT CONDITION. Take a close look at the pictures.
Everything is superb. The box is excellent, all the polystyrene inserts are
there and perfect, the projector is in MINT
CONDITION and it comes with the original power cable and Elmo 800ft
spool. We have checked it over and it is in the best condition possible. Whoever
buys this projector should be very pleased as we have not seen one like this
for quite some time.....

NOTE: The
main body of this projector is constructed from a good quality die - cast metal
alloy, making it much stronger than others of plastic construction. Elmo was
well known for its quality engineering which are built to last.
Packaging
We totally understand the need to get this delicate
equipment to you in perfect condition. Couriers can handle quite poorly so we
take two paths to ensure the best delivery results. We ONLY use a quality
courier service and our packing quality is second to none. There will be an
oversized strong boxed used with a shock absorbent base placed in the bottom
and then a huge amount of stable stuffing inserted all around. The projector
and accessories will then be sitting in a highly protective cocoon.
We are also a responsible packing material user. 90% of our
packing materials are recycled and can be disposed off in a green manner.
