This is a beautiful and rare example of the Rolex Oyster Royal made in 1938. This particular watch is one of the best preserved 1930s Rolex Oyster examples. These manually wound steel Oysters were a favorite with RAF pilots who bought them privately.
We have left the whole watch untouched/unpolished.
The super high grade 17 Rubis movement has been fully serviced.
To complete this fantastic piece, we’ve put it on a new high-quality aftermarket Rolex strap and buckle.
CASE.
The stainless-steel case and bezel are in good condition for their age, with light age-related wear. The case measures 30mm across without the Rolex oyster screw-down crown.
There are markings on the cover of the watch.
Inside the case back all the marks are correct as expected and on the outer case back it still retains the Rolex serial number 153337 2280.
 DIAL.
The stunning and rare dial is untouched and has a nice patina to it. This watch oozes 1930s style and elegance.
The dial is signed: Rolex Oyster Royal Swiss Made.
CROWN
The watch has a large screw-down crown. There is a dent on it.
MOVEMENT.
The very high-grade manual wind movement is in very good condition. The movement is signed: Rolex, Swiss Made, Fab Swiss, 17 Rubis.
The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
THE CONCLUSION.
This Rolex wristwatch is not only a stunning timepiece that you will get immense pleasure in wearing but also a great investment piece and heirloom and something that will appreciate.
