1838 Matron Head large cent for sale. The coin pictured is the coin you will receive. The coin has some rim damage and has been cleaned. It appears that someone attempted to crudely alter the E in CENT on the reverse, though I am not certain, as these coins were sometimes used as brothel tokens in the 1800's.
