Description - Wonderful German good gauge solid silver box of rectangular form with rounded ends and a hinged lid

all sides embellished with detailed embossed and hand chased courting couple in a rural setting with the sides having figures doing various activities, the interior has embossed bottom and bright silver-gilt finish.

The interior stamped with German Hanau hallmarks, the inner rim has the weevil control mark stamped twice for French import (German item imported into France) and indicating 800/ 1000 solid silver fineness.

Condition - In very good condition, no dents, dinks, splits, holes, repairs

hinge is strong shutting the lid even secure and the decoration is crisp and clear

interior silver-gilt is rich and bright.
