About This Items

  1. This product is a pre-painted and completed model. The C11, with a shaft arrangement of three driving wheels, one leading wheel and two following wheels (1C2), is a representative Japanese tank-type steam locomotive. 381 cars were built in 1932 (1947). During the JNR era, the C11 was in heavy use because of its small size and its ability to be used for both passenger and freight services, and it was used throughout Japan. Even today, they are operated by JR Hokkaido, JR East Japan, Mooka Railway, Oigawa Railway, etc., and are very popular. This product is a model of a C11 class steam locomotive fitted with Smoke deflectors (commonly known as Montetsu Smoke Deflectors), which were used mainly in the Kyushu area during the JNR era.
