This authentic 1860's Forged Metal Door Lock Cover with key is a unique piece of history. 

The cover and key are original, with no restorations or alterations made. Its dug location south of Ft Clinch, Amelia Island, FL adds to its intrigue and worth. 

The cover measures 5" x 3-1/2" and is made of forged metal. It is a rare collectible from the Civil War period (1861-65), and is categorized as an original period item. The lock cover has some patina which shows its age.
