From the foreword: Dear photography enthusiasts, you know Bangladesh? Have you ever heard of this land? No? Then you should take a look at this book and visit the country soon! What you can expect: CHAOS, but an extremely endearing kind of it. I have often been there and I love this country and its wonderful people. On three trips my guide was Yousuf Tushar, one of Bangladesh’s best photographers and top experts on the country. Nowadays it is difficult for professional photographers to live from the sale of their photographs. The Internet is a huge competitor with a great deal of “reportage” today being streamed on the computer. And so it is often possible to book such experts as travelling companions in order to be in the right place at the right time—a basic prerequisite for taking good pictures. On all my world trips I campaign for ethical principles and human rights. It is sad to see the atrocities that people commit against each other in the name of their religion. In the course of this book I will address lots of problematic subjects. This seems necessary to me in order to be able to really understand this wonderful country with all its negative sides. For I love Bangladesh and would like you to visit it too. I can promise you one thing: you will meet hardly any other tourists!
