Description - Lovely late 18th/ early 19th century pair-cased gilt pocket watch with unsigned
roman numerals
white dial and signed fusee verge movement with hand pierced and engraved balance bridge with a numbered regulating plate
includes with two modern keys for wind-up and hands adjustment and an ebonised wood c1800 hinged display box/ stand with folding down front and rear compartment
Condition - Watch is in good running condition, the movement winds up fine and runs the mainspring down over 24hr but seems to be very fast - over an hour a day (may need regulator adjustment only?)
the movement is clean on observation with no visible damage, the minute hand is damaged at the tip
cases are in good order with good hinges and functioning clasps, just a small ding to the inner case, there are no splits or holes but there is surface wear with loss of gilding to the backs as expected
glass cover in good order with no scratches or chips and dial in good condition
display box in fair condition age considering with some damage (please inspect end photographs).
