I used it several times in a conference room that didn't have XLR OUT.

This is a balanced/unbalanced line converter that has 4 built-in circuits that convert unbalanced input to balanced output,
and 4 built-in circuits that convert balanced input to unbalanced output.
Equipped with an indicator to display the presence or absence of a signal
and a semi-fixed trim to align the levels of connected devices.
It is also equipped with an input signal distribution (ADA: Audio Distributed Amplifier) function.
It is possible to distribute unbalanced input signals for balanced output,
and to distribute balanced input signals for unbalanced output.
It uses the TASCAM standard 1U rack mount size, which is the same size as a 1U rack mount size TASCAM recorder,
so the depth is flat when rack mounted.
