Up for auction is an ORIGINAL 1985 Ford Thunderbird with the rare FILA Package. In order to promote enhancements made to the 9^th generation of the Thunderbird, Ford came out with a special edition for 1985. They forged a partnership with the Fila clothing brand to prepare a top-of-the-line T-Bird with white leather bucket seats and selected power accessories. To ensure it’s exclusivity, the Fila edition was priced a lot higher than the Turbo Coupe. Over two model years, just 2,532 of these cars were built. This car seems to have a special order black interior. I am working with a family selling the car collection of an elderly family member who has passed away. He owned the car since new and drove it until he stored it away in 1998. The odometer reads 138408. The car has solid floors and frame and has some rust on the lower body panels. No rips to the seats or carpet but the headliner has fallen down. The car will not start but the engine is free and turns. All the glass is free of chips or cracks. The car looks to be complete. The car is located in New York's Columbia County, south of Germantown. We ask that once the auction ends the winning bidder should make a $500 deposit thru ebay within 48 hours and the balance paid within 14 days via cash on pickup or wire transfer.
