Bound in an old full leather binding, this is an early British edition of this classic from Jules Verne, the book is divided into two parts, each with its own dated title page, here bound together in one volume, illustrated with nine plates across the two parts, with a couple of other illustrations within the text (all plates are present) the binding has some noticeable signs of wear and age with scuffs and scrapes to the leather, the leather is worn at corners, small splits to leather at spine end edges. Internally old presentation bookplate to front pastedown, one gathering is standing slightly proud of the text block and has some browning and wear outer page edges, creasing wear to a few page corners, mild foxing / browning to a few pages, else in good general condition.
