Wonderful Japanese Koro in the Kutani Kilns in a "Satsuma" style,. The Koro is on a very unusual Deep Royal Blue ground and decorated in gilding and unusual white enamel highlights.
Also unusual the lid resembles a metal lid but is in fact gilded and enamelled ceramic. A beautiful example of the best in Japanese design.
