WB100 Art of the 100th - Singin' in the Rain 5oz Silver Coin
Warner Brothers marks its 100th anniversary this year (crazy,
right!), and as part of an epic celebration at the NZ Mint, they
are unveiling a new coin series, Art of the 100th! It pays tribute
to some of the most iconic films from the studio’s history.
The series is comprised of six 5oz pure silver coins, each with
a mintage of ONLY 100 and depicting a different classic film
from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. The first release features the
1952 masterpiece, Singin’ in the Rain.
The Art of the 100th coin series is a wonderful tribute to some
of the greatest films ever made and a unique and beautiful way
to own a piece of cinema history. It is a great way to celebrate
the centennial anniversary and the studio’s significant
contribution to the film industry.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products,
this first coin features the film’s iconic title song and dance
number, along with the engraving of the film’s title. The black
colored background contrasts beautifully with the frosted details.
The obverse has a mirror finish background, which bears the
Public Seal of Niue to confirm the coin as legal tender, a frosted
engraving of the WB100 logo, and a laser engraving of the
coin’s unique serial number.
This attention to detail and craftsmanship is truly remarkable,
making it a great addition to any collection.
The coin is limited to only 100 pieces worldwide!
The outer box is anniversary themed and is designed to be both
protective and attractive, making it perfect for both storage and
display. The display case inside holds the coin and includes
unique collector cards based on all the films from the Art of the
100th coin series. On the opposite side of the Singin' in the
Rain collector card, you will find a Certificate of Authenticity and
the coin’s unique serial number.
