Vintage Tinplate Clockwork Gentleman on Horseback,
Made in US-Zone Germany

A nice vintage tinplate clockwork Gentleman on horseback
toy, consisting of a composition figure dressed in a red
suit with gold edging, gold top hat and black boots, and
holding whip, sitting on a white horse, made by an
unknown maker in US-Zone Germany in the
late 1940's or early 1950's.

When wound the toy moves forward with the horse’s

the action until the clockwork mechanism has run down.
It measures 3.5 inches long by 1.5 wide and 4 inches
tall and is in very good to excellent used working
condition with minor playwear, just some minor
damage to the front of the rider’s hat. A Schuco
key is supplied and the toy is marked on the
underside of the horse with “D.R.G.M.”, “D.R.P.”
 and “Made in U.S-Zone Germany”.

A nice vintage clockwork toy in excellent
