The groups new CD release on SKYY records, On Our Way is receiving excellent reviews and receives airplay on radio stations throughout the US. The CD displays Porters ability to perform a traditional style of playing with a lot of innovation.

BIOGRAPHIE DER MITWIRKENDEN
Porter Williams family like many other families from Louisiana migrated to Houston by way of Louisiana. In Porters case, it was from north Louisiana miles away from Creole country in the southwest. Porter says he was very fortunate to have settled near the 5th Ward area of Houston known as French Town an area rich in the Creole tradition of Boudin, Gumbo and zydeco.

Catholic Church hall dances, the famous Continental Zydeco Ballroom, and The Silver Slipper were among the many venues in this area that Porter frequented to hear zydeco music. Porter became such a fan of the genre that he decided to give playing the accordion a try for himself.

Porter and was given his first accordion as a gift by Brian Terry of Lil Brian & the Zydeco Travelers. Right way Porter began to display a talent for the instrument combining the gift from Brian along with the gift from God thus creating an infectious sound.

Porter shaped his band from area zydeco and R&B musicians forming Lil Porter & the Zydeco Hustlers. One of zydecos rising stars. For 3 years now the group has been performing in festivals and concerts for two steppers from Houston to Lafayette.
