Description-
All EPSON printers have inbuilt counters that count up the number of pages a printer produces, the number of head cleans executed and various other attributes. Once a critical level is reached the printer will enter its service mode. Commonly this is shown by a message saying 'Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life' or ‘waste pads are full and need replacing’. At this point users are expected to either throw away their printer and buy a new one, or pay to have a costly service by an engineer.
All Epson printers contain a small internal tank that is filled with felt pads. They are designed to collect any "waste ink" the printer produces. Waste ink is pumped from the ink cartridges during prints or head cleans. The printer has a counter that records ink usage and estimates when these pads will be full. When these pads get full your printer will throw up a "Service Error" message and shut down.
This listing is for one single use reset key to allow the WIC reset software to reset your Epson desktop printer. The key can be used one time to reset your printer. The WIC reset software is available online to download for free.
How do I reset my printer?
The first thing we recommend is to fit one of our Ink Express waste ink tanks to the printer in question.
The next step is to reset the printer with a service utility known as WIC.
Finally, a reset key will need to be purchased to reset the printer in question. These are single use, meaning any time you reset a printer a reset key purchase is required.
Once you have all of these items you are ready to reset your printer.
System Requirements
The software works with both Windows and Mac operating systems. The software requires an internet connection as it uses a server to verify the key, the software should be installed and used on a computer that is connected to the printer you wish to reset.
