Up for sale today is this California Scenic Route sign. Made to the exact state standard, as used from the sign's introduction in 1971 to the present day.
An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; most of them enjoy their active service on the highway and the side streets. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble.
The sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 3 pounds, 12 ounces, and has been faithfully rescaled from its original size to 10 by 15 inches for more convenient display. The signs intended for freeways and other high-speed corridors are larger: please inquire if you would like a different size.
This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
