Description A beautiful genuine English antique early 19th Century Georgian solid sterling silver "novelty" pin cushion in the shape of a "flower basket" in excellent condition and dating from around 1830 - 1840. Lovely quality and approx 190 years old, (definitely not a modern re-production), with a hinged swing silver handle, it is decorated with embossed flowers and scrolls and has a lattice work effect on the lower half and on the base. Complete with its original interior padded cushion and has an old green velvet covering. Nice rare example and free from personal engravings.

Measurements Measures approx 1.15 inches (30mm) wide x 0.75 inches (19mm) deep and is 1.6 inches (41mm) in height, (including swing handle).

Date English antique Georgian solid sterling silver, unmarked as is usual with these early pin cushions, 100% guaranteed antique silver and dates from around 1830 - 1840.

Condition Excellent condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear/polish holes and no nasty knocks or dents, a lovely clean genuine antique Georgian example, looks only little used and a rare find. The hinged silver swing handle still moves freely and the original interior padding is intact and the velvet covering in good condition, no splits or tears. A very nice item and there are no added personal engravings.
