Impulse – A Story of Love & Adventure, featuring Neva Gerber, 1922 silent movie Brochure.

This is a surprisingly good example of a 10” x 6¼” twelve-page Brochure / promotional booklet for a silent movie titled Impulse, that was made in 1922. It was released in cinemas either that year or perhaps in 1923. The cover has illustrations of scenes from the film and reads Impulse – A Story of Love & Adventure, featuring Neva Gerber. The first inside page has a photo of Gerber and states that it was adapted from Maude Woodruff Newell’s novel – Her Unknown Knight. It was produced by Norval MacGregor. The following six pages each have a still from the movie and tells the story. There is a cast-list (five other actors are credited). The last inside page has an advert for Mercury Film Service of Leeds who owned and distributed the film. Originally it was held together by two staples. These look to have been purposefully removed. (There is very slight staining by the holes but no damage). It is complete and thanks to the good-quality paper it is printed on
