San Francisco Taylor St. sign.

Up for sale today is this Taylor Street, 2800 block sign. The sign is made to the 1965 specification used by the city of San Francisco to designate this famous street. This is the last style of all-capitals signage before they went to mixed case in 2009. This particular block of Taylor Street is right next to the famous San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf, a popular tourist destination for visitors and locals of the Bay Area
.

The sign is 30 by 10 inches, and weighs about 7 pounds, 11 ounces. It is a faithful rescaling of the original 36x12 signs for a more convenient display. This is a high quality, heavy steel remake. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

Would you like a street name or block number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any street name of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and route shield signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.

Figure about 9 pounds for shipping, packed with care and mailed from zip code 61833.
