It features a black anodized finished, standard arbor spool, an exceptionally beautiful, rare, African coral wood, large handle (very rare handle material... that alone is worth about $100) and of course the world-famous, smooth as silk, strong drag system.  Nothing compares to these original ABEL reels. Great looking and performing reel! Nothing like it.

Currently set for right-hand retrieve. This one is user not convertible so if you prefer me to switch it for you, I can do that prior to shipping.

Super 8 spool and frame interchanges with original Big Game #3 spools and frames. With a Super 8 spare spool, you can fish 8 to12-weight lines.  

Current "comparable" Abel reel is about $1,000.  Again, nothing compares to these originals.
