1939 Press Photo Sign with six-foot letters in South San Francisco, California

Eggs for the "ham and" for California? South San Francisco: A supporter of the "Thirty Thursday--Ham and Eggs Plan"--upon which California voters will act November 7, has erected this unique giant sign in the runways of his small chicken farm near here. The six-foot high letters, which form feeding boards for his chickens, spell out: "Retirement Warrants, Vote Yes November 7." Photo measures 9.25 x 7 inches. Photo Is dated 1939.
