The Archangel Michael is arguably one of the most well-known angels from the Bible. Now known as Saint Michael the Archangel, Michael is one of the few figures in the Bible that appears in the Christian Bible, the Hebrew Bible, and the Quran. In many of the Biblical mentions of St. Michael, he is placed in an apocalyptic setting where he leads the angels of Heaven as their finest warriors.

All of the 1/2 oz Silver Shield of St. Michael Stackers available here come with custom-made capsules. These silver stackers are the third in their series and come with an antique finish that has been applied to enable you to handle the bars during stacking without fear of tarnishing or smudging the finish of the bar. Given the opposing raised and sunken reliefs on each side, you can stack these silver pieces together safely and securely.

The obverse of Silver Shield of St. Michael Stackers comes with a detailed, ornate design depicting the battle between the forces of Heaven and Hell. With the brightness of Heaven shining down from the top of the bar, the clouds in the background begin to spread apart as the Archangel Michael descends to confront Satan himself. Clad in armor and flexing his powerful wings, Michael raises a spear that is topped by the Christian cross as he prepares to smite the devil with the spear. Unlike some historic depictions, Satan is shown here in a human-like, demon form rather than as a dragon or serpent.
