This is an original press photo. Chicago: Mrs. Michael Chosa, wife of the leader of a group of about 50-Indians who took over a United States Army Nike missile site in Chicago, cooks on a charcoal grill 6/15. The group moved into the abandoned fenced-in area after being burned out of an apartment building. Chosa said the takeover of the 12-acre tract was the result of "injustices to our people" and that they plan to stay as long as it will take, maybe forever.Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 06-15-1971.
