1959 Press Photo Aftermath Of Fatal Crash Between A Truck And Train In Kansas

This is an original press photo. Railroad Wreck. Haviland, Kansas: The wreckage of a Western Light and Telephone Company truck is wrapped around a Rock Island diesel one mile from the spot where the two vehicles collided at Main Street in Haviland. Killed in the wreck were Robert Sanders, Jack Jacobs, Virgil Kinsey and Donald Shelito, all of Medicine Lodge and all passengers in the truck. Another occupant, Ernie Moore, is in Pratt County Hospital, condition undetermined.Photo measures 9.25 x 7inches. Photo is dated 01-19-1959.
