SECRETS:  This is the second box figurine in the Paradoxicals Series, the companion piece to “Paradise Found.” Three demons with wings, horns, hands, hairy legs, claws and scaly tails sit back to back above the flames of Hell. One leans on his elbows and sticks his tongue out, another is holding a one-eyed skull and appears to have been bitten by the skull. The third seems spooked by the spook he is holding. At the time of carving, Peter had been browsing through a book on the artist Pieter Brueghel and seems to have been more influenced by his paintings than by the gargoyle stone carvings of English churches. Hallmarks on the base include P Calvesbert and 95. Inside is HBC logo.

We have an extensive assortment of pieces "in stock".
