VINTAGE S MORDAN & Co STERLING SILVER PROPELLING PENCIL antique pocket watch fob chatelaine

A good quality vintage S Mordan & Co propelling pencil with ring attachment on the end so that it can be securely to a chain etc.

The inner barrel is stamped “S Mordan & Co Sterling Silver”.

Condition:-  The cosmetic appearance looks very good.  I am not an expert on propelling pencils and do not know how this pencil should work. There is a lead inside, but I have not been able to extend or retract it. I am wondering if it is missing part of its inner mechanism?  I am therefore selling it as collectable only or for spares or repair.

Size:-  when contracted, not including the ring on the end it is 2.5 inches (65mm) long
