The burner is made of copper and brass materials, with a silver color that adds a touch of elegance to it. The burner was made in the USA, during the years 1850-1899 and comes with a wooden handle. Great industrial revolution early piece. 6" long. opens with a wonderful mechanism. Solid copper and brass. I think this lamp would burn if you added alcohol. Great display piece in a collection of early American manufacturing pieces. These were used for jewelry and other crafts.
